"MISS G FROM LITTLE HOUSE OF MUSIC WOULD LIKE YOU TO MEET THE FATHER OF THE PIANOFORTE."

Hi, Miss G with Little House of Music has a very interesting music story to tell.
Meet Mr. Muzio Clementi. Clementi was born in Rome, Italy at the beginning of the Classical period, in 1752 and lived until 1832.
Some composers were not very popular and had no money while they were alive. they became famous only years after they died. The opposite happened to composer Muzio Clementi. Her was famous and rich when he was alive, but was not as well-known after his death. In the early 1800's Clementi's music was as famous as that of Hayden and even Beethoven, but today not many people have even heard about him. Yet, the inscription on his tomb in the Westminster Abbey in England proudly announces that he was:
"THE FATHER OF THE PIANOFORTE."
Clementi started a company that published music and made pianofortes. (The pianoforte was an early piano. It was also called the fortepiano.)
Like so many others I've never heard his music but will order some today! I just wonder how many other great composers we have never heard of!
