Miss G with Little House of Music presents our beautiful Miss Michele our latest "Student of the Week!"
Michele has not been studying music for very long at all but is she ever tearing up the piano keys. In just a few weeks she has gone from not knowing how to play at all to playing level one songs. YOU GO MICHELE!
Other than playing the piano Michele excels at school and is into reading "Harry Potter", photography, painting and drawing. She loves chocolate, tacos and cheese pizza. She is an all American girl!
Her favorite subjects in school are History and English and she loves alternative music and the color teal.
It is an honor to have Michele as our student, she is a delight to be with and is so eager to learn.
Congratulations Michele on being our "Student of the Week" after only four lessons! YOU ROCK!

"MISS G WITH LITTLE HOUSE OF MUSIC---HAPPY 95TH BIRTHDAY CLAIRE"

Miss G with Little House of Music had a very exciting day on Tuesday, November 18, 2008. I took my friend Claire out of the nursing home to celebrate her "95TH" birthday. YOU GO CLAIRE! Claire has always told me she is going to live to be 100, I sure hope she is right.
First I took Claire to the salon to get her hair done, we did a little shopping and then went to her favorite restaurant for her birthday lunch. We had a good time. Claire was so excited to get a day out of the nursing home and I was excited to do it for her. Just think to live to be 95 and have no one in the whole world that you know, it is really sad for all of the elderly in all our nursing homes around the world. Most of them never get to leave.
Claire told me how lucky she was to have me and I told Claire how lucky I was to have her! She had a big time and a great 95TH birthday and I felt very good inside for taking her to celebrate. It was a win, win happy day for us both.
If you know anyone who lives in a nursing home it is a wonderful thing to go visit or better yet while they are able, take them out for the day.
Again, Happy Birthday Claire and we will go out and celebrate again soon for sure on your 96TH!

Miss G with Little House of Music is proud to introduce Miss Lisa coaching my Mr. Louie.
Miss G's life has been a little unusual lately and Miss Lisa has been kind enough to take over my students until December 15TH. I don't know why she doesn't teach music all the time. Miss Lisa plays the piano beautifully and she has that kid personality that is so wonderful when you are coaching children. My students like her so much I'm afraid they will all want to follow her instead of waiting for me to return! I thank you so much Miss Lisa, you are a true friend.
My Mr. Louie in the picture is like my own son. I've taught him for 150 years now!!! He is a great pianist and so much fun to teach. He and I are great "Buddies!"
In the past two months I have had lemons and lemonade! I took care of my Aunt until she passed away with cancer, my husband has a medical problem and must go back into the hospital and I had hand surgery and am still working on cleaning out my Aunt's home in PA from FL. Now for the lemonade, my niece had her first baby boy Landen and my son and his wife had a beautiful baby girl Mahri Cate. All this in two months.
Thank you Miss Lisa, you can tell by her beautiful smile how much she loves teaching (coaching) children to play beautiful music. YOU GO LISA!

Miss G from Little House of Music with a "Tribute" to my Auntie Faye. My Auntie passed away October 30, 2008 and every time I see a doll baby, see anything purple, see a baseball game or a beautiful flower I will think of my Aunt.
This one flower bed around her mailbox is just a very small sample of what you would see if you had the opportunity to see Aunt Faye's beautiful yard. She had the most glorious yard filled with garden after garden of yes, purple flowers.
My Aunt Faye was like a Mother to me and she is now at peace after the terrible disease cancer consumed her body.
She will be missed by some many who loved her.

Breezy is a dancer and a beautiful one at that! Her posture is unbelievable when she sits on the piano bench. Not only has Breezy won our Student of the Week award she has won numerous dancing competitions. Breezy is an outstanding young lady and I'm so proud of her. YOU GO BREEZY!
Breezys two older brothers have also been studying music with me for years. Breezy wasn't going to play the piano she was just going to be a dancer. One day she decided to start taking piano lessons and if her two brothers don't watch out she is going to pass both of them! I keep saying to Breezy, you played that song very well for someone who wasn't going to play the piano!
Breezy is a precious child which also excels in school. Anything Breezy decides to do she excels at.
I'm so happy I get to be apart of Breezys life. She is a pleasure to be with every week.

I have been teaching Jack for years and years! Jack first took Little House of Music and then moved right onto the piano bench and started to play the piano.
Jack has inherited the gift of music from someone in his family because he is an excellent pianist at his old age! He feels the beat, he feels the chord change and he loves to play the piano. Music is in his being and it shows when he plays.
Other than music our Jack is an excellent student at school and loves to play soccer and will be on the football field next year. Sports and music just seem to go together!

My Connor is an excellent student and finished her theory book in record time. That's a new one here at Little House of Music. I usually have to remind my students weekly to do their theory but Connor had her theory book done in about three weeks, the whole book!
Miss Connor was meant to be a pianist. She has the most beautiful long fingers I've ever seen. She hardly has to open her hand to play an octave on the piano.
Connor has the sweetest personality and is a delight to teach and be with every week.
Conner you are one in a million and Miss G sends you a million hugs and all of my love.

Happy Turkey Month from Miss G at Little House of Music! The pumpkins are over and now we are into Turkeys already, where does the time go?
I have some exciting information on the month of November.
DID YOU KNOW?
Novembers flower is the Chrysanthemum, "Flower of Honour." This flower means with love and cheerfulness. There are over 30 different species and colors of the perennial flowering plants and are also called Mums. Chrysanthemums come from the Asteraceae family and are native to Asia and Northeastern Europe. In parts of Asia the yellow and white Chrysanthemum flowers are boiled to make a sweet drink.
DID YOU KNOW?
Novembers birthstone is the "Topaz." The topaz is the most durable mineral, an 8 on the Mohs scale. The colors of the topaz range from, blue, green, pink, red, yellow and brown or can be completely clear. It's rare to find a natural pink topaz. The orange-red topaz is called "Imperial" but it is extremely rare. Not certain whether the topaz name came from Sansrit word for fire, "Topas" or the Greek term for "greengem" which is "Topazos" which is also a island in the red sea.
