Miss G with Little House of Music would like to present "Sweet Candy's" new hat!

Miss Marissa on the left and Miss Ava on the right are modeling Sweet Candy's new hat, aren't they precious? Both of these girls are in Little House of Music Level Two Class. The first ten notes you learn to read to play the piano all come with a hat! Our students match the C note with the C letter and then the hat that matches the character. Just wait until they have to match up all ten notes!!!

All of the candy on Sweet Candy's hat is hand made. The hat was designed and made by our Granddaughter Rachel. She is currently studying art design in college and makes the coolest clothing, purses, hats, cell phone holders, I could go on forever! Thank you Rachel, our students love Sweet Candy's hat.

It seems like I am, Miss G with Little House of Music always saying goodbye to my granddaughter Darrien who lives in Tennessee. This is a picture of my girl at the airport leaving again after a wonderful trip to Florida.

It takes me months to get over her leaving but she has to go back to school! Darrien is a great student and a super soccer player! She's my girl!

Miss G with Little House of Music is a grandmother so I am allowed to brag about my grandchildren.

The picture on the left is of my grandson Braden right after his hole in one at miniature golf. YOU GO BRADEN!

In the background is my granddaughter Natalie who also got to witnessed this exciting hole in one with me.

We have a very exciting day, after our game of miniature golf we had lunch at Jetty Park where all the big cruise lines leave from in Cape Canaveral, FL.

We had a great day together and I can't wait to do it all again.

This is Miss G with Little House of Music. I'd like to present to you my "Wall of Fame" in my music room where I teach.

Guess you can tell you my favorites are and yes I'm into peace. I'll buy anything with a peace sign on it!!!

You can't see it but I also have a huge signed Elvis Presley coffee mug on another shelf.

The reason Michael Jackson has the Abbey Road sign in front of him is because he owns or I guess I should say owned the "Beatles" catalog of songs.

I love them all and I'm so glad they will live on forever.

July was the most special month of the my year! Forgot, this is Miss G with Little House of Music!
I went to see "Wicked" in New York City in July. It was the best time I've had in years and I can't wait to go back. I'd love to move to New York City! I feel at home there and believe I should have moved there years ago.
Darrien, Brocknie and Madison went with me to the big city. We had a marvelous time together. We shouldn't have stayed on "Fashion Avenue" but we did and we had a blast shopping!
There is no place in the world like New York City. I loved all the people, the taxi cab rides, I could do without the subway!
If you get a chance, do yourself a favor and go to see "Wicked." It's the "BEST!"
I want to go back so if you can't find me I'll be in New York City!

I fell asleep last night with a tear in my eye and woke the same way this morning.
I grew up with Michael Jackson and whatever anyone may think or say about him they can never take his fantastic music away from him.
Just like the great masters, Michael Jackson will always be with us all because we will always have his music to brighten our days.
Thank you Michael for years of great songs, exciting videos and your fancy dances.
Michael, you will always hold a special place in my ears and my heart. I'll never say goodbye to you.

Miss G with Little House of Music introduces Mr. Louis better known at Little House of Music as Mr. Quarter Note!
When Louis was 5 years old he loved the song "Mr. Quarter Note" from Little House of Music and became our own Mr. Quarter Note even dressed in a tux just like Mr. Quarter Note in the Little House of Music course.
This is my Louis today, no longer my little Mr. Quarter Note but now my big "King of Rock and Hold" the whole note. I have taught Louis just about his whole life and I can hardly wait for you all to hear him play. He is wonderful. We have so much fun at lessons!!!! Sometimes we ever get into trouble! Imagine that!!!
I Love You Louis, you are just like my own son.

MISS G WITH LITTLE HOUSE OF MUSIC WITH A "GREAT" SALTINE CRACKER RECIPE!"

Miss G with Little House of Music goes from one subject to another, guess that is why my husband calls me Lucy!
I have this super recipe for plain old saltine crackers!

1 box of saltine crackers
1 packet of Hidden Valley ranch that comes with seasoning mix
1 & 1/4 cup canola oil
2-3 tsp crushed red pepper flakes to taste. If you like hot then use 3 tsps.

Mix packet,oil and pepper flakes in bowl. In a large square or rectangle pan stack all four packs of crackers on their side.Pour mixture over crackers. Cover pan with foil and flip pan every 5 minutes for 30 minutes.
They are super delicious with chili, soups and I like them with a piece of sharp cheese on them. They are good just to eat all by themselves.
Try them and let me know what you think of this neat saltine recipe. Be a "Super Saltine Chef!"

Miss G from Little House of Music is proud to introduce to you two of my "STARS!" Miss Malia and Miss Madison at showtime during a Little House of Music class.
Showtime is a must at the end of each Little House of Music class, some students sing, some tell jokes, some dance but this is a first for me, Malia and Madison did a puppet show and it was great!
As long as my students get up in front of the class I get excited with whatever they choose to do for showtime.
Aren't these two girls just absolutely precious? Great friends learning music together. Doesn't get much better than that!

Miss G from Little House of Music wishes everyone in the world could visit "The Florida Keys." What a wonderful vacation in PARADISE.
The seven mile bridge to Key West is unbelievable, how they ever built it is beyond me.
The picture of me at the Southern most point of the USA is only 90 miles from Cuba. I'm holding my "Love Out Loud" t-shirt that was given to me by a very good friend Sonia. Notice the "f" in the middle of the shirt that means forte or loud! Let's all love out loud and just maybe we will find peace on earth!
I had a wonderful time at the keys and now I want to move there!

A lot of our students now play extra songs during the week, they do an extra page of Theory, they do everything they can to win!

Miss G with Little House of Music dreamed football last night. I've been watching the sports center on ESPN all morning to see the big Steeler win over and over again!
I have been a Pittsburgh Steeler fan all of my life and today I can't do anything else except Steeler stuff!
GO STEELERS, GO-GO #6 SUPERBOWL WIN. WHAT A GREAT GAME IT WAS. IT WAS THEIR SIXTH WIN BUT I THOUGHT I WAS GOING TO HAVE MY FIRST HEART ATTACK!
I plan on leaving all my Steeler items decorate my home for a week in their honor. If they have made it I have it! Tablecloth, blankets, towels, plates, I even have a Steeler necklace and a toothbrush! I have nine shirts, and ordered two more today! I'm so excited, I'm worst than a child going to Disney!!!
I will calm down by tomorrow and wait and wait until football starts again! What a great sport.

Meet Miss Jordan, just look at that face, that beautiful face and those eyes, Jordan is certainly a cutie! Jordan is only four years old and passes her songs on the piano every week. YOU GO JORDAN! I've heard so many say that a four year old can not play the piano and read notes, well to all of you come by and listen to my Jordan playing the piano and watch her reading notes.
I give their Mother all the credit for Thomas and Jordan's success. I only have them for an hour, she has them all week. She has to give them a lot of time each week for them to be doing so well. Remember, behind every successful child is a "Great" parent. YOU GO MOM!

These pictures were taken of the last full moon from our yard.
So many people think it's too hot to live in Florida. I would agree if you lived in the middle of the state. Even in the summer months where I live near the Atlantic Ocean there is always a breeze so therefore it is never too hot. It is just always beautiful. Everyday is like living in Paradise. In December my grandchildren were in the swimming pool swimming, in January I was working in the yard and got a suntan. You gotta love it!

The other day after filling my bubble gum machine up with Double Bubble I sat the box on my counter in the kitchen before putting it away. I left the kitchen and when I returned there was Squirt in the Double Bubble box getting into Double Trouble! Isn't he precious? Thank heavens the remaining bubble gum was sealed up tightly in a plastic bag.
When my Mother was sick my daughter and son-in-law and myself went to the Humane Society to pick out a cat for my Mother to love and entertain her. We picked Squirt at first sight and we picked the right cat and my Mother named him. After she passed away Squirt became mine and I have enjoyed him tremendously. He is so cute and gets into everything he can get into! YOU GO SQUIRT, YOUR NEW MOTHER LOVES YOU!

Miss G with Little House of Music is proud to introduce our "Students" of the week for the week of December 19, 2008. We had a tie, Mr. Ali and Mr. Louis. YOU GO BOYS!
Two of my precious boys made the student of the week list. My Ali on the left is an outstanding young boy. I just have to play a song on the piano and he watches me and listens and sits down and plays it. He is a very special child with a very special talent. I have the pleasant opportunity to coach Ali for an hour every week. This past week Ali moved on to a new song, a new lesson in Little House of Music, learned to play the beginning of the song "Batman" (which I'm sure he is playing a million times this week,) and he played the drums in perfect time while I played the piano. Ali and I have a special bond, we are music bubs! I love you Ali.
My other special student of the week, Mr. Louis on the right, has been my student so long I feel like he is my own son! Years ago at one of our concerts Louis was Mr. Quarter note and sang the song while he tap danced. That fabulous performance will always shine in my mind. My Louis, My Mr. Quarter Note! Louis is now a pianist playing songs that are difficult for most. Louis is no longer my little Louis but now he's my big Louis. Where have the years gone? Louis who was born in Canada became a United States citizen last year, we had a very special lesson for that week, the US flags were flying all over the place. YOU GO LOUIS AND I LOVE YOU.
Remember behind every successful child are caring and loving parents and both Ali and Louis are blessed with parents that are both.
I'm very proud of both Ali and Louis. It's not easy to be "Student of the Week" here at Little House of Music. Congratulations to you both.
